At Transformational Modern Massage(TMM), it is our intention to provide our guests with professional and therapeutic services in a relaxing and friendly environment; we will tailor each treatment to our client\u2019s individual needs. The following <\/em>policies and procedures <\/em>serve as a guide for our first-time and repeating guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We strongly believe that your time is valuable, as is ours, and we make every attempt to be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to provide a unique and outstanding experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our time, we have adopted the following policies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrival To Your Treatment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please arrive for your appointment 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate forms and use the restroom. All sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your session may be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the original treatment time may be charged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation Policy and Fees<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the office scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $50. Patients who miss their appointments, without giving any prior notification, will be charged in full for the scheduled service. We recognize the time of our clients and TMM staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

other patients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, many times we will be functioning in an \u201con call\u201d status and may have traveled to the office specifically for your service. For these reasons, we are obligated to compensate ourselves for time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All services require a credit card to guarantee a reservation, so please have your credit card ready when booking. You will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no show. Upon checkout, guests may choose their method of payment and are not obligated to use their credit card for payment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Late Arrival Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

No Show Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Transformational Modern Massage, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone\u2019s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children\u2019s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

massage appointment. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment<\/em><\/strong>. Patients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification may be charged in full for the scheduled service. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Informed Consent<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prior to each massage session, your treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with us you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

with the TMM massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen, for at least a year, may be asked to fill out this form again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Reservations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment in advance for best availability. To accommodate your desired appointment a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. We hold this information as part of our cancellation policies <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

and only make necessary charges to your account on the date of your scheduled service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scope Of Practice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Barbara Schroeder of Transformational Modern Massage is a Washington licensed professional and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. We will refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n
\n

We are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The client will always be modestly draped.<\/strong> Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. The massage will stop. You will be charged the full price of the treatment. You will also, always, be reported to the local authorities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Confidentiality and Conversation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\n

We treat all patient visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of our staff without your express permission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

You may choose to talk, or not talk, during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the patient\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Existing and New Medical Conditions<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is the responsibility of the patient to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The client must also keep the massage therapist<\/p>\n\n\n\n
